On this 7-day tour, you will have a unique chance to explore the best of our northern circuit safari by visiting the most famous lakes on the northern circuit known by their concentration of flamingos as well as the big 5 in Tanzania by visiting Tarangire, Serengeti &Ngorongoro crater. Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha

You will be met at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport by your personal safari specialist and driver who will brief you on the journey ahead. After checking into your chosen Arusha hotel, relax and unwind before enjoying dinner at the hotel or in one of our recommended local restaurants in Arusha town.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up by your private safari guide from your accommodation in Arusha to Tarangire which is almost a 2.5 hour drive from Arusha.

Tarangire is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps, and the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest are often seen. The Park is also home to buffalo, zebra, and wildebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and leopards. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the wildlife.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, which includes a delicious lunch, coffee, and soft drinks.

After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our comfort partner lodges for dinner and overnight.

Day 3-4: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park

Early morning after breakfast, we depart to Ngorongoro crater. When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world. Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland and glistening lakes and swamps. The Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The Crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands.

After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for Serengeti National Park for dinner and overnight. You will spend 2 nights inside this incredible park.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Lake Natron

After breakfast at your accommodation you will head out for another game drive in the Serengeti before having an en-route game drive to Natron via Klein’s gate. Wild and remote Lake Natron lies in the northeast of Tanzania in between the Ngorongoro Highlands and Serengeti plains. Here it is the landscape rather than the animals that is the attraction – the area around the lake inhabited by Maasai is dry, desolate and hauntingly beautiful. You will arrive at your accommodation in time for dinner.

Day 6: Lake Natron to Karatu

After an early Breakfast, we will start our activities at Lake Natron which includes following paths to some of the most interesting localities, such as hot springs, Ngare Sero waterfalls and much more. Situated at the base of Africa’s only active volcano Oldonyo Lengai (Mountain of God), Lake Natron is one of the most alkaline lakes in the world. The lake is home to millions of tiny crustaceans, attracting literally thousands of lesser flamingos and it is therefore one of the most important flamingo breeding grounds on earth.

After lunch and further time to enjoy the activities here we drive back tour accommodation in Karatu, we will arrive in time for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha

Early morning after breakfast, we depart to we depart to Lake Manyara National Park which is an unspoilt paradise and is best known for its abundance of birds and tree-climbing lions. The dramatic western escarpment of the Rift Valley forms the Park’s western border. To the east is the shallow, alkaline Lake Manyara. The lake covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and is home to thousands of flamingos during the rains. The name Manyara comes from the Maasai word ‘emanyara’, a popular plant which is used to build the protective enclosure around a family homestead (boma). The Park’s vegetation is diverse, ranging from savannah to evergreen forest. On your exploration of the park, you may see giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and if you are lucky; lions lounging in the trees.
